Love Is Love
With an abundance of passion, a clear vision, and excitement, author and owner Marva J. Laws knew without a doubt there was a huge omission in the greeting card industry: love in all its forms was not being acknowledged, regardless of who you love.
“I’ll start my own company.”
After contacting the world’s largest greeting card manufacturer and being told they do not accept outside writers, Marva was heartbroken and inspired at the same time. Not afraid, she instantly said to herself those five words — and that was the beginning of what is now known as Love Is Love, featuring Madison’s Pet Collection.
Marva began learning as much about the greeting card industry as possible, then began writing extraordinary greeting cards in an authentic voice, each possessing a sincere heartbeat of love that can be felt as they are read. Covering topics that had never been addressed with such undeniable honesty, her cards capture the recipient instantly, often pulling at the heartstrings along the way.
Love Is Love has grown through greeting cards, apparel, and gifts into a brand that continues to delight, impress, and be welcomed by all. Because Love Is Love is more than a boutique. It’s an experience.
Meet Our Team
Reilly has been a proud member of the Love Is Love family since 2022. Working alongside her aunt, she has helped grow and promote the Love Is Love brand while creating a welcoming, inclusive, and enjoyable shopping experience for every customer who walks through the door.
Outside of the boutique, Reilly is a full-time student at Hampton University pursuing a degree in Medical Biology with dreams of a career in healthcare. Whether she’s helping customers find the perfect item or working toward her future in medicine, Reilly brings kindness, dedication, and a positive spirit to everything she does.
Aaliyah is a creative and outgoing individual who enjoys expressing herself through fashion, beauty, and personal style. She loves trying new looks and appreciates the confidence that comes from creativity and self-expression. She also has a strong appreciation for music and enjoys discovering new trends and experiences.
Aaliyah is excited to continue growing both personally and professionally while building meaningful connections with those around her. She values positive environments, teamwork, and opportunities to learn new skills. She looks forward to contributing to the team and creating memorable experiences alongside her coworkers.
What does love mean to you?
To me, love means showing kindness, support, and understanding to the people around you. It is about being there for others through both good and difficult times and making them feel valued and appreciated. Love can be expressed through family, friendships, passions, and the meaningful connections we build with others.
Taylor Lianne Chandler is an author, entrepreneur, advocate, and public speaker whose work centers on equality, inclusion, mental health, and authentic leadership. For more than a decade, Taylor has used her platform to challenge stigma, elevate marginalized voices, and foster conversations that inspire meaningful social change.
Taylor first gained international recognition after becoming one of the most talked-about figures in the media, transforming an intensely public personal experience into a lifelong commitment to advocacy. Rather than allowing public scrutiny to define her, she built a career dedicated to education, resilience, and creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and valued.
She is the author of The Making of Going for the Gold and is currently completing her memoir, Beyond the Gold, which chronicles a remarkable life marked by perseverance, reinvention, and an unwavering commitment to truth. Taylor has been featured across national television, radio, podcasts, magazines, and print media, where she has spoken candidly about identity, mental health, resilience, and the power of living authentically.
As a speaker, Taylor has addressed audiences on LGBTQ+ inclusion, intersex and transgender advocacy, workplace equity, leadership, mental health awareness, and the importance of creating communities where everyone can thrive. Her presentations combine personal storytelling with practical insights, challenging organizations and individuals to move beyond performative inclusion toward lasting cultural change.
Beyond advocacy, Taylor is also an entrepreneur and retail business owner who understands firsthand the importance of branding, customer experience, marketing, and organizational leadership. She brings both lived experience and business acumen to every stage, boardroom, and partnership.
Taylor believes leadership begins with courage—the courage to tell the truth, embrace vulnerability, and stand beside those whose voices are too often overlooked. Through her writing, speaking, and community engagement, she continues to inspire audiences to lead with compassion, authenticity, and purpose.
Hailey recently joined Love Is Love as the Marketing Director. She has enjoyed working alongside the team to introduce Love Is Love to the Historic Annapolis area.
Outside of the boutique, she is an Assistant Professor, Instructional Designer, and Web Developer with a passion for creating meaningful digital experiences. With a background in Biology and Forensic Science, she enjoys making science education inclusive and accessible for learners of diverse backgrounds. Whether she is in the classroom or in the storefront, she is always excited to meet new people and learn from others.
