With an abundance of passion, a clear vision, and excitement, author and owner Marva J. Laws knew without a doubt there was a huge omission in the greeting card industry: love in all its forms was not being acknowledged, regardless of who you love.
“I’ll start my own company.”
After contacting the world’s largest greeting card manufacturer and being told they do not accept outside writers, Marva was heartbroken and inspired at the same time. Not afraid, she instantly said to herself those five words — and that was the beginning of what is now known as Love Is Love, featuring Madison’s Pet Collection.
Marva began learning as much about the greeting card industry as possible, then began writing extraordinary greeting cards in an authentic voice, each possessing a sincere heartbeat of love that can be felt as they are read. Covering topics that had never been addressed with such undeniable honesty, her cards capture the recipient instantly, often pulling at the heartstrings along the way.
Love Is Love has grown through greeting cards, apparel, and gifts into a brand that continues to delight, impress, and be welcomed by all. Because Love Is Love is more than a boutique. It’s an experience.
Meet Our Team
Reilly has been a proud member of the Love Is Love family since 2022. Working alongside her aunt, she has helped grow and promote the Love Is Love brand while creating a welcoming, inclusive, and enjoyable shopping experience for every customer who walks through the door.
Outside of the boutique, Reilly is a full-time student at Hampton University pursuing a degree in Medical Biology with dreams of a career in healthcare. Whether she’s helping customers find the perfect item or working toward her future in medicine, Reilly brings kindness, dedication, and a positive spirit to everything she does.
Ann is the operations consultant and tech talent powering Love Is Love Boutique. She did not just shape it — she infused it with glam, fun, and energy. Ann’s retail career spans from the charm of Mackinac Island to the vibrant energy of Honolulu, and now she brings that coast-to-coast expertise to just steps from the harbor-front of Annapolis.
With a background in web design and retail operations, Ann manages the digital and in-store experience to create a boutique that’s bold, inclusive, and chic. Her signature touch is creating a space where every shopper feels welcomed, relaxed, and fully in their element within and beyond the rainbow.
