Inside: Oh! Em! Gee! I prayed that you would meet a beautiful, smart, loving, caring person and get married. I imagined planning your wedding... Helping with naming my grandchildren... Looking forward to spoiling them... Hoping you would live close by.
In my mind, I've always had such wonderful plans for your life.
In hindsight, you never did seem to have much interest in the opposite sex. In fact, it appeared to be a topic you were a bit uncomfortable with. But I noticed you always lit up with a marvelous glow when you spoke of your other friends.
Now knowing that you are happy in a romantic relationship with someone of the same gender, I guess that explains everything.
